PSN Comes Crashing Down (Donegal Post Article 04/05/11)
From the 17th to the 19th April, the Playstation Network experienced a worldwide outage which resulted in no access to the Network for several days. It was then revealed that the network outage was caused by a security breach which led to long network downtime along with loss of information. Patrick Seybold, the director of communications at Sony publicized the details of this incident in the Playstation Blog. He stated that the security breach resulted in the ability of the unauthorised hacker to gain the information of the 70 million users that subscribe to the network. While it is believed that only the basic profile information was accessed there was still a chance that the various email, phone and even credit card details of the PSN users were also hacked during the attack. iPad Review
Apple released the iPad back in July but since then they have upgraded the software for the iPad and have launched the all new update iOS 4.2.
Why Wii when you can Move??
The new fad in the gaming world is motion technology. The Wii kicked off and introduced an entirely different way of gaming and from this Sony thought it would be important to expand into the market of motion gaming to keep up with the times. For those of you familiar with the Wii will probably think that there is not much point in the PS3 Move and see it nothing more than an attempt to make the PS3 more popular as it appears to be losing in the popularity race with the Wii. However, after trying out the PS3 Move for myself I can say that it was quite an exciting experience and as much as I love the Wii I do find that the PS3 Move has great capabilities and can keep me entertained for great lengths of time.
