On the 19^th October, Google previewed their latest OS update since the 2011 ‘Honeycomb’ to their Android devices. Android’s latest OS 4.0 (codenamed ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’) sees the emphasis now finally placed on user functionality. There are various new features to the OS which Google now boasts supports both their tablet and smartphone devices using the same software. Google are currently top of the smartphone market in the US but with Apple’s iPhone 4S and iOS5 receiving much praise there are fears that Google’s Android could lose out to their more prestigious rival.
