Also, if you check out your browser and see a lock in the corner of your address bar it is a sign that the site is secure and is more than likely safe to use. When it comes to email the main rule is to only open mail from people you know. If you are unsure of the sender or content of the message then you can ask round and see but if you are completely sure you do not know the sender then you should just delete the email without opening it as many viruses can find their way into your PC through your email.
