Some Poetry

A random add to my blog i know but i have dabbled a bit in the world of poetics and you can find some of my work here!

Below is my favorite and signature poem, hope you enjoy!

Growing up in Donegal

Mountains, hills, fields and the wild

Oh how wonderful to be a child

To run around outside and play

And enjoy each sun filled day.

Unfortunately it does not last

The grey clouds cover, the sun has passed

A sea of worry, a field of doubt

Cast shadows on the world about.

The time for play and fun is over

The sun has gone, we are much older

But in growing up we may

Learn to appreciate each day

So as we continue on life’s track

We should not let storms set us back

We should brave all the wind and hail

And keep trying when we fail

For as seasons change and life goes on

We will see that the clouds have gone.
